My mum and I went to hongkong for a vacation. We stayed at shamrock hotel for 3 nights. I loved it, but of course, I can't say that it's the perfect place to be.. it has it's negative sides.
What I loved about Hongkong:
- the weather!!! The first thing you'll notice is the cold cold weather in the middle of summer. It was only around 12-14 degrees celsius when we went there.
- the tall buildings. Their buildings are super tall. The tour guide said it was because Hongkong has no earthquakes. Amazing.
- the underground tunnels. I never thought of the idea of having a tunnel underwater..
- the CLEAN environment. And i mean clean!! throwing a small piece of paper would cost you $15,000 Hongkong dollars. Grabe!
- you'll seldom find beggars. So far, i've only met two old people begging on the streets.
- the way people dress. They are quite into fashion. You could wear boots or skirts anywhere without anyone caring.
- the mtr stations, they have it everywhere and their mtr stations are very clean and systematic.
- there were no jeepneys, tricycles, triciboats, tricicads etc.. only taxis and buses. Some buses had 2 floors. It really helps a lot it reducing pollution.
- their tourist spots will really amaze you..
What i didn't quite like about Hongkong:
- everything was so expensive!!! the cheapest bread we could find was 5 hk dollars = 35 pesos i think. For the noodles the cheapest was 19 hk dollars = 133 pesos. Clothes were much more expensive. Kung 250 dito.. 250 rin doon pero hk dollars haha.
- people were not friendly. especially sa mongkok.. they're selling you na, nagagalit pa.
- houses were very very expensive. most of the chinese people there have a hard time owning houses because of the very unreasonable prices.
- maraming manloloko.. even the friend of the tour guide tried to fool us. long story.
- the people from the cheap stores, don't speak english!!! kaya sign language nalang. hehe
- inconsistency of prices.. Here the price is high, there the price is low..
It was a very tiring trip, but it was all worth it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Our next destination, Manila.. It's been 11 years since i last laid my eyes on manila.. i really missed it. plus.. my dream school's there. It was almost midnight when we arrived and it was an hour ride to the house of my aunt.

On our first day, we went to Mall of Asia. I bought some stuffs. There were a lot of stuffs to buy!! i just lacked money.. tsk. hehe. Then in the evening we went to moomba, their resto, and ate there. It was the first time for me to try the ostrich. It tastes just like pork meat, though a little saltier. Try visiting the place, it has a great ambience. The food and the service is great!! uyy. nag advertise. haha.=]

My mum had to go home first because she had lots of work to do. But i stayed for 2 more days. On my second day, My cuz went with me to my dream school...... dlsu.. yep thats right!!! i was finally there. It was actually what i had been anticipating for even before i left davao. And until now, it still is my dream school. But oh well.. i guess i just HAVE TO.. HAVE TO.. learn to love my school. I don't know what will happen to me after i graduate.. But i hope by then, i'll learn to call it my beloved alma mater. Harleen, Jia and Ninay tourguided me in their school. It was huge. I was also able to visit their condos.. Pwde ko pa adopt? hahaha.=]
In the evening, ahia oli brought me to greenbelt and glorietta. Too bad it was already closed. that night i was finally able to try eating gonuts donuts and drinking sumthing from starbucks. hurray for the ignorant girl stephanie..!!! congrats to me!! haha=]

On my third day, My aunt brought me to moomba for a while. We ate lunch there then went to sm mega mall. I was able to try ice skating.. It's terribly difficult! i fell down about 5 times i think. but it was fun. It's a really nice feeling to find yourself skating on ice.

It was goodbye manila time.. Bitin ang trip ko sa manila.. I wasn't able to go to all the places i wanted to. But it was very fulfilling. I missed being with my relatives and it was a good time to get to know them better. My departure time was at 4:00pm so we left their house at 1 and proceeded to the airport. Something happened pa.. pero long story na.. but the endline is i'm home na..

Getting of cards and enrolment day... I was very happy with the grades I had this semester. It was one point higher than my previous grade..

Then after my enrolment, i went to the mall because Karen was going to treat us for lunch since her 18th bday was last apr. 4. After eating, we watched a movie. It was entitled The Chanting. I wasn't that scared coz i was covering my eyes all the time. When I got home, i watched Happily n'ever after. a cartoon movie. It was fun.

I had a movie marathon. I went to victo to watch Ang Cute ng Ina mo.. Then rented some dvds and watched it at home. I've finished watching my first wedding and love wrecked. i plan to watch the bridge of terabithia tomorrow.

It was the last day of the making of our nstp project. We had to clean the drainages filled with poopy and the like. The odor was almost unbearable so we had to wear surgical masks. We were also asked to wear boots but it so happened that i was the only one who bought one. haha. We didn't finish the project. We handed it over to the barangay it think. hehe.

We practiced our pe dance at insular village. It was so tiring but we had fun playing basketball and taking pictures hehe.

The day of the dance presentations finally came... We ended up in 4th place but it wasn't announced anymore. Ok lang. we had fun naman hehe=]

My cuz and I had to wake up at 6 to attend the recollection of the lcm members. It was held at the pm sisters, catalunan grande. Only 7 lcm members joined. I loved the breeze!!!

| Last night, i attended mimay's 18th birthday party at their house. Her ate asked one of my classmates to prepare a surprise for mimay. She thought it would only be a simple dinner party but each one of us in the class had a role. She was totally surprised. The food was great, busog jud kaau ko.. and I really had fun..=]

i gave mimay a teddy bear simply because she's mama bear. hehe. and since she's kikay i looked for a kikay bear like her.. I halungkated many bears on the tindahan i went to.. until i found the right one. Too bad i forgot to take a picture of it. tsk. oldies. hehe.=] oh btw, today pala ang bday nya tlga.. she just celebrated it in advance yesterday..=]

| I want to go back to my childhood days and be the carefree little girl that I used to be. I want to be innocent. But what can i do.. I'm now 18 and I'm not getting any younger..... I just want to thank my friends, my family and especially God the almighty for being there through all the hardships and pains. p.s. Chinese ink(my barkada), i love u all!! you're the best!!!
I had a simple 18th birthday celebration, just me and my family. No party. no debut. whatsoever. But i really enjoyed it. I want to thank the people who spent their time, efforts and money to buy me a gift.. thanks to:
